Hi everyone! I’ve been super busy with work and family functions in Canada but wanted to take a quick moment to share a couple photos of some of the delicious food that I’ve eaten. The weather in Ontario, Canada has been simply gorgeous – everyone is in a great mood and it’s just the perfect time to be here. I’m so lucky!
I flew into Toronto late Tuesday night and spent Wednesday-Friday at work with my colleagues. It was so great to see and catch-up with everyone. On Friday, my fiance Matty flew in from Sydney and we headed to his dad and step-mom’s place in Burlington. His step-mom is a registered nutritionist and she made me an amazing vegan pizza – complete with vegan peperoni and Daiya cheese. It was amazing!
While there, I had a super healthy breakfast everyday: a huge bowl of fresh fruit, a vegan muffin, and soy yogurt with fresh blueberries and sprinkle of cinnamon. Delicious!
On Tuesday, Matty and I headed to Waterloo to stay with his mom & step-dad, and to Elmira to visit with his Nan. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of our meals there, but we got together for sushi that night with his mom, step-dad, step-brother and wife before a fun evening of bowling. On Wednesday evening, I got to go out with Matty’s mom and Nan for a girl’s night out and we enjoyed yummy Asian food and delicious Sangria. We had such a great time together!
I arrived in Ottawa earlier today and as I was eating lunch (another vegan pizza – I’m spoiled!), my mom and I were discussing all the food that we hope to make together. We made an awesome salad tonight that I hope to share with you in the coming days.
